Delicate

Ouch. Damien Rice...ang sakit mo naman magsalita...

so why'd you fill my sorrow
with the words you've borrowed
from the only place you've known?
why'd you sing hallelujah
if it means nothin’ to 'ya
why'd you sing with me at all?

so this is nationalism...

I don't know the slightest thing about boxing. I was never into it. I would passively watch Kiko and Marvs play it in the Playstation. Somehow, the idea of two guys hitting each other to knock each other out wasn't really appealing to me.

BUT tonight, my housemates decided to purchase the HBO Pay Per View of the match. I was going to chip in for something I didn't care for...but because I wanted to go with the flow, I agreed to it. I was supposed to study while they were watching it but then I couldn't ignore the screams from the living room.

Somehow, that one small guy was able to give a name to our country. He took the punches, and motioned "BRING IT ON!" after each one. How can Pacquiao not be your hero after a night like tonight?

half-full, after all

On the matter of physical appearances, I've always seen the glass half-empty. I know that beauty isn't supposed to be strictly defined, but if everying is IN FACT relative, then relatively, I'm ugly. I've always thought that I'm on the losing end when the aspect of appearances comes up.

It's only now that I see how lucky I am that I don't have the same problems most of my friends do. You see, I'm surrounded by beautiful people; and because these people are my friends, they all have GREAT personalities. So how can one be unattractive if you're alluring inside-out? You simple CAN'T. And that's where their problems come from.

My friends have been approached by unsavory strangers many times in the past...in bars, malls, streets, etc. but these are all short-term problems. When immediately dismissed, most of these strangers go away, and when they don't, my friends always find a creative way to escape them (ex. they pretend that a close guy friend is a boyfriend, they give the wrong telephone number, etc.).

The long-term problem, I'm afraid, is when too many of their guy friends fall for them, and they are stuck in the dilemma of either losing a friend or being viewed as a tease. Some even go as far as getting their hearts broken. All these because they have been CURSED with such beauty inside-out.

I get it now. I'm happy with what I have...and what i LACK, for that matter.

you get what you give

I don't know what I ever did to her to deserve this kind of treatment. I try to put myself in her shoes and imagine what kind of childhood she must have gone through to develop this kind of personality.

I hate the way she talks, as if she knew every truth in the world and as if nobody could contest the words coming out of her mouth. I hate how she's so respectful of her relatives, but treats me like shit just because she's less than a year older than me. I hate how she shoots down every attempt I have of being nice to her.

I think one of these days, I'll just give up and say FUCK IT. Being good just takes up too much energy. So what if I burn in hell? Bitches should be treated the way they treat other people.

cooooooooold...

I managed to amuse myself by coming up with a comment on this experience that would have been thought of by the people I hate the most. I'm talking about people who are unimpressed by things found in this country:

"TUBING? MAGS-SLIDE KA HABANG NAKASAKAY SA SALBABIDA? PARANG GIANT SLIDE LANG YAN SA BIG BANG SA ALABANG/STAR CITY EH... "

Sure, it's the same thing, if you had to wear 5 layers of clothing to survive in the weather of Star City...

in my dreams

I would like to be married to any of the following fictional characters from television and film:

1. Adam Sandler's character in Spanglish. What more can you ask for if you have a husband who's sweet, who pampers you, and who knows how to cook? Not to mention rich...

2. Ethan Hawke in Before Sunrise/Sunset. I would never grow tired of our endless conversations.

3. Ryan from The O.C. I love those disturbed, brooding types :)

4. Clark Kent in Smallville. That's pretty self-explanatory.

5. Tony Almeida of 24. He'd be a great head of the family because of his decision-making skills.

I have to think the rest through. That's all for now, off the top of my head :)
